Last night after dodging hundreds of crab pots, we were rewarded with aΒ  most peaceful and beautiful anchorage off the Sassafras River. Now that we’re in the Chesapeake, we’re no longer stressed about places to stay. Unlike the NE, NY, and NJ, the Chesapeake has hundreds of tributaries for boats to hide out and to seek shelters. You can literally drop anchor anywhere within 5 miles radius.

Yesterday was comical watching Claudia obsessed over her Fitbit steps πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈ. She averages 10k at home but since we’re anchoring for 2 days not getting off the boat, she started her Richard Simmon’s routines while going through the C&D Canal. She started in the cockpit and was bumping into the steering wheel, I had to send her down below to finish, ending up with a whopping 6K steps. Very impressive for working out in a 40′ confined space.

We’re off to the inner harbor of Baltimore for some touristy eating and exploring. Can’t wait for some delicious Maryland crabs (we are not talking Crab Rangoon here).
