Newport RI to New London (38 NM). We moored right next to the famous US Coast Guard tall ship Eagle, the only active duty tall ship in the American sea-going services. She was built in 1936, has 6 miles of rigging and 290 ft long (roughly equivalent to a football field). A sight to be seen.
On your way!!!
Hi Joe,
We’ll be near your old stomping ground soon. Be sure to let us know where your secret clamming holes are so we can make some casinos and pasta. Give Peggy our best.

Nice! Have fun on your adventure!
I love those tall ships…How many crewmen does it take to sail her, do you know?
Hi Leslie, thanks for all your UAT on this site !!!! Happy Labor Day 😘
Hi Leslie, I’ve read that it takes 7 officers and 50 crew members to sail her but I often see her with more than 100 people onboard during tall ships festivals she frequently attends. Thanks for checking in Leslie.
The excitement has already begun looking forward to all the upcoming adventure updates
In a couple of days your old stomping ground NYC!!!!
