Researchers from the Australian National University experimented with playing high-frequency instruments for dolphins on the New South Wales mid-north coast, to determine if humans can communicate with the marine mammals through music.
The results showed dolphins began appearing minutes after musicians started to play. The music included opera singer, flutes, piccolos and Indian wooden recorders.

Past few days, dolphins seems to appear but only while Claudia is practicing her ukulele. They pop their heads-up for a few seconds then disappeared into nowhere. They seem to be shy and weren’t playful like the ones we encountered in New Jersey coast. But that didn’t stop Claudia from strumming her Hawaiian guitar and serenading to these playful mammals.

We dropped anchor in Chisman creek near a town called Seaford VA. Tomorrow we head for Norfolk.
