After 25 incredible years, we made the bittersweet decision to sell our beloved home-on-the-sea, FUJIKO. With mixed emotions, we bid farewell to a vessel that has been an integral part of our family’s life. Our 1998 Island Packet 40, Fujiko, has been an unwavering companion, taking us on unforgettable adventures to far-flung destinations. From the icy cold waters of Maine to the murky brackish currents of Chesapeake and the crystal-clear blue expanse of Bermuda and the Bahamas, Fujiko has been our steadfast guardian, providing solace and a sense of security during tumultuous times. As we bid adieu to our watery abode, we also bid farewell to the enchanting cruising lifestyle that has captured our hearts for so long.

So, what lies ahead for us? Well, let’s just say that we won’t have to obsessively check weather forecasts, scramble to find the perfect spot to drop anchor, or worry about tides and currents. We are now embracing a life of ordinary citizens, venturing forth in cars, trains, and planes. Perhaps, on occasion, we might indulge in the camaraderie of our RV friends and rent a 40′ motorhome. If we can navigate a 40′ sailboat on the water, tackling a 40′ RV on the road shouldn’t pose much of a challenge. Our future holds exciting prospects – cruises to Alaska, explorations of Europe, Asia, and Africa by air, and not to forget, the grand allure of America’s magnificent national parks.

Dear FUJIKO, you shall be deeply missed! Thank you for the countless memories and the boundless joy you brought into our lives.
